Michelle Keegan‘s sitcom Brassic has confirmed a release date for its seventh and final season.

The critically-acclaimed comedy is set to return on 25 September on Sky and NOW for a “full-throttle farewell”. The announcement arrived with the release of a first official trailer, which sees Keegan reprising her role as fan favourite Erin Croft.

Following the release of some first-look images last month, the series is teasing a season “packed with everything fans love”, from “lederhosen-fuelled escapades” and “school reunions gone wildly off the rails” to “gangsters more unhinged than ever”.

Brassic co-creator and writer Danny Brocklehurst said in a statement that the sitcom is ending “on a high”.

“The series is a huge hit, but Joe Gilgun [co-creator] and myself always said we wanted to leave the party while it was still fun, even if saying goodbye is tough.

“We have a loyal and loving audience and we can’t thank them enough for going on this crazy journey with us. At its heart, Brassic is about friendship and love and that’s the spirit we are leaving with.”

Keegan, who made her debut in the first season of Brassic in 2019, shared an emotional farewell to the show on Instagram following the final day of shooting.

“So, finally the Brassic journey has come to an end (feels so strange saying that) and what an unbelievable 7 years it’s been. I feel so privileged to have been a small part of such a mighty show.

“From the moment I read the [first] script, I knew this job was going to be special [and] it definitely was.”

Brassic season seven is set to premiere on September 25. Series 1-6 are available to watch on Sky on-demand and NOW in the UK.
