Former England batter Jonathan Trott has left his role as Pretoria Capitals head coach after just one season in charge of the SA20 franchise.
Trott took on the role for the 2025 competition but the Capitals missed out on the knockouts with two wins in 10 group matches.
A post on X said: “Jonathan Trott, forever grateful for your leadership and unwavering dedication to the team.
“All the best on your next adventure! Once a Capital, always a Capital!”
Trott is Afghanistan’s coach and is expected to lead the side at the T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka in February and March.
The 2026 edition of the SA20 has been brought forward to avoid a clash with the World Cup and will run between 26 December and 25 January.
