Wardlow made his return to AEW during today’s Forbidden Door 2025 pay-per-view at The O2 in London, England.
Today’s show played host to an AEW Unified Championship match between champion Kazuchika Okada and challenger Swerve Strickland.
As a note on the match, the legendary Jim Ross made the trip to England and was on commentary for Okada vs Strickland.
It was Okada who picked up the win to retain his title, but the story wasn’t over there.
After the match, Okada continued to attack Strickland, targeting his leg and trapping it in the ring steps before hitting it repeatedly with a steel chair.
Prince Nana came out with a lead pipe to chase Okada and Don Callis – who was also on commentary – away, but once again, there was more to the story.
Entering the ring behind Nana and Strickland was the returning Wardlow, who had been out of action and absent from AEW since March 2024.
Wardlow took out Prince Nana and then numerous security personnel as Strickland watched on helpless as he was still trapped in the steps.
Wardlow then left up the ramp and embraced Callis, seemingly cementing him as the newest member of the Don Callis Family.
The group’s other members all came out too, so the updated lineup of the Don Callis Family now looks to be Wardlow, TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher, Unified Champion Kazuchika Okada, Konosuke Takeshita, Lance Archer, Hechicero, Josh Alexander and Rocky Romero.
Brian Cage, Trent Beretta and Mark Davis were also members of the group as of last word but are out of action due to injury.
