A child rapist from Bolton has died in prison.
Donald Glen was jailed for 17 years in 2022 after he was found guilty of raping and sexually abusing a child under 13 on multiple occasions.
After being convicted, Glen was transferred to Wymott Prison near Leyland.
He died at the prison earlier this month, aged 78, Lancs Live reports.
Following a trial, Glen, then 76, was convicted of two counts of rape; and 10 counts of sexual assault.
Glen, of Hind Street, Tonge Fold, Bolton, carried out the abuse over the course of several years, Greater Manchester Police said at the time.

After Glen was sentenced, Detective Constable Stacey Gardner, of Bolton’s CID, said: “Sexual abuse can have a devastating and long-lasting impact on victims.
“This investigation demonstrates our ongoing and determined commitment to ensuring that perpetrators are brought to justice.
“We would like to commend and thank the victim for the courage, strength and dignity they have demonstrated in coming forward to the police and supporting this investigation.
“We hope the sentencing offers some closure knowing that he is finally facing the consequences of his actions.
“We would like to take this opportunity to offer our assurances to anyone who has experienced sexual abuse and has not yet come forward, that GMP will do all we can to support you throughout the process.”
An inquest into Glen’s death was opened on Thursday July 17 at Preston Coroners’ Court.
Area Coroner Kate Bisset explained that an investigation by the Prisons and Probation Ombudsman was ongoing and a final inquest was scheduled for October 9.
