JJio down: Thousands of users in some regions of India are not able to access the internet and are facing disruptions with the mobile signals. Not only that, some users have also complained about the Airtel not working in some regions. According to Downdetector, the outage started at around 2 PM IST with over 7,000 reports currently. On the other hand, Airtel also seems to be facing some problems and has over hundred reports on Downdetector.

Both the companies have not acknowledged the outage at the moment. It seems to be a technical error. Thousands of users have moved to Elon Musk’s microblogging platform X to share the frustration. However, some of the users have found humour and trolled the telecom operators. We have attached some of the funniest memes that can make your day.

Jio is facing a major outage — really disappointing experience.
I found out that Jio services are completely down in West Bengal, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, and Bihar as well.
There’s absolutely no network.
Jio team, please fix this issue as soon as possible.@JioCare @reliancejio pic.twitter.com/rEMHoQKGUf

The issue appears to be limited to certain regions, as we were able to make calls and access the internet on our Jio numbers at the Noida office without any disruptions. Similarly, Airtel SIMs also worked normally for calls and data during our testing.

This is not the first time the telecom operator has faced an outage. On August 19, Jio faced a similar outage affecting thousands of users in Delhi, Noida and other parts of India. The users were unable to use the internet and were facing problems getting the network on their devices and complained about call drops, unreachable errors and more.

Responding to the problem in an official statement, Reliance Jio clarified that its services are largely unaffected. The company said all Jio-to-Jio calls, as well as calls to other non-impacted networks, are functioning normally. The only disruption, Jio noted, was limited to calls made by its users to a particular network that was facing downtime.
