Helen Flanagan broke down in tears as she opened up on the difficulties of co-parenting and not being able to spend time on her own. The former Coronation Street star is active on social media and regularly shares personal insights into her life.
The actress is a mum of three and recently split from Robbie Talbot. Robbie, who used to play for Marine FC had a relationship with Helen during and after her stint on the E4 reality show, Celebs Go Dating, which was broadcast last year.
She has confirmed there are no hard feelings between the two, however Helen has been vocal about her struggles with ex-partner Scott Sinclair. The Coronation Street star shares three children with her ex-partner, Scott.
They have two daughters together, nine-year-old Matilda, six-year-old Delilah and son Charlie who is three years old. Helen separated with the footballer in 2022 after 13 years together and getting engaged.
Helen has since appeared on reality TV shows including I’m A Celebrity South Africa in 2023 and Celebs Go Dating in 2024, but is most known for being a part of the Webster family on Coronation Street. She played the role of Rosie Webster on the Cobbles from 2000 to 2012 and from 2017 to 2018. After going on maternity leave in 2018, she did not return to the role.
On Instagram, Helen shared a series of videos as she became emotional about the thought of her children not being with her. She said: “I just hate-co parenting. I really, really struggle. I like really struggle when they go away, I only like them going away if I am doing something.
“It is just really hard, especially when you are not getting on and it is just really hard. Obviously they’re your babies and you can’t speak the same when they go away.

“I have had really bad anxiety recently, I have not had a minute because I am nearly always with the kids but it is like a double-edged sword because when they go I want them back and when I am with them all the time I get really overwhelmed.”
The Rosie Webster star continued: “I can’t drink, I only stick to tequila I never drink a lot. I think it is good to cry and get it out. I have had bad anxiety recently, If I do some exercise and see some friends or get some sleep and look after myself a little bit better, stuff that I can’t usually do when I am with the kids.
“It is just difficult, when you have them all the time you are stressed and overwhelmed, as soon as my kids go I really don’t like it. It gives me anxiety.”
She added: “It is what it is, I have just been building up with anxiety and stuff and I probably just need this time to actually just take it for me. Then I am probably more clear-headed for when they get back.
“I struggle being on my own, not being on my own in a relationship but in general, I always have to be with one of my friends. I am always like that, I think this is why I love social media so much because I am always connecting with people.” She admitted she doesn’t know how to spend time on her own and it is something she can work on.

The emotional video comes after a heartfelt message posted by Helen last month. On social media, Helen shared a series of images spending time with her children.
She wrote: “Looked back at some of my favourite times with the kids this year. Found motherhood hard recently, I’ve felt overwhelmed and stressed the majority of the time and I want to get back to when I’m present and I’m really in it and I’m really enjoying it.”
Helen told our sister site OK!: “I’m done with men for the time being. I’m concentrating on the kids, work, moving house and being with my friends.
“I’m actually quite sensitive and to be honest, I struggle with dating a bit. I feel like there’s always something with men. So right now I want to be single and keep my peace a little bit, you know?”
