TBR Football understands that Leeds United are still hoping to make two more attacking signings after their tenth deal of the summer to sign James Justin from Leicester City.

Upon their return to the Premier League, Leeds have spent big, and aided by the Red Bull scouting network, they appear to have recruited smartly too.

Leeds are delighted with their Noah Okafor deal, who arrived as Daniel Farke’s ninth new addition of the summer.

And with the likes of Anton Stach, Gabriel Gudmundsson and Lucas Perri already embedded in the starting eleven, it’s been an impressive summer.

But in line with chairman Paraag Marathe’s rich ambitions, Leeds are not done just yet.

Leeds are still in the mix to sign Emiliano Buendia and Manor Solomon

TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey believes that Leeds still want to sign another winger and a number 10 before the window shuts.

And in terms of names who might come in, Premier League pair Emiliano Buendia and Manor Solomon appear to still be on the table for Leeds.

There’s belief that Leeds could make a late move for Solomon, who was very effective on loan for Farke in the Championship last season.

And in line with Tottenham Hotspur’s Solomon, there’s potential that Leeds could also recruit Buendia from Aston Villa, providing he isn’t suddenly thrust into a more crucial role.

Bailey explained: “Leeds want a winger and a number 10 – there are still a few deals to be done.

“Buendia hasn’t played much for Villa, so he could come back into the equation and possibly arrive on loan.

“Leeds also want to do a couple of other deals, they’ll be one of the busier teams trying to complete moves.

“Regarding Solomon, he had a good season at Leeds last time out, but he’s not involved with Spurs at the moment. We’ll see how that one pans out.”

Leeds are confident they will offload Illan Meslier

Of course, after bringing Perri in from Ligue 1, Leeds want to sell Illan Meslier, a goalkeeper who’s failed to reach the level required in the Premier League.

In fairness, Perri wasn’t brilliant against Arsenal either, but there’s reason to believe he can help Leeds stay up.

But even if Leeds are yet to sell Meslier, there’s confidence behind the scenes that an exit will be secured.

Bailey continued: “Meslier is one of the players on PSG’s radar as a potential number two if they lose Donnarumma. It’s a possibility, and he’d be a pretty good fit there.

“Leeds are confident about getting him out, but he’s on big wages, especially with them going back up again. It’s not easy to move him on because of that.”

Jeff Stelling criticised a Leeds signing recently, but it’s clear that the club are moving in the right direction under the 49ers.

And Farke does now have a squad capable of surviving in the top flight.
