Woodbridge will host the start of the competition, and has announced a pedal and picnic event taking place this weekend. 

The event will start at Kingston Field in the town on Sunday, August 31, ahead of the first stage of the tour on Monday. 

There are two routes available, with a 50km and 100km route available, each costing £20 and £30 respectively. 

Participants will also receive photographs, a t-shirt and route support.

The entrance fee will also go towards Suffolk Mind. 

The 50km route will pass through Clopton, Charsfield, Wickham Market, Tunstall, Rendlesham, and Melton.

On the 100km route, you will pass through Clopton, Charsfield, Wickham Market, Tunstall, Sudbourne, Snape, Aldeburgh, Thorpeness, Leiston, Saxmundham, Rendlesham and Melton.

As well as the main bike ride, there will be a picnic on the grass at Kingston Field, as well as free access to the tennis and pickleball courts, games and a family fun ride. 

There will also be the chance for two entrants to win a VIP race-day experience to the Tour of Britain on September 2, with an unrivalled view and a signed jersey.
