They use a standard CR2032 coin cell battery, which is user-replaceable. When the battery is running low, you’ll receive a notification on your iPhone, giving you plenty of time to replace it. It even has an IP67 water resistance rating, so it can cope with a maximum depth of one meter for up to 30 minutes.
