British Airways has launched its End of Summer Sale, with discounts on flights and holidays. The sale is live until 30th September 2025.
There’s not a huge amount of sale-worthy fares here. Top options include Club World returns to New York for £1,597 and Montreal for £1,770, plus many more North America deals for under £2,000.Â
New York is the standout deal here! Montreal is not bad either at £1,770.
If you want to find the best flight deals and what dates they apply to, the BA Low Fare Finder tool is a great resource.
These deals all include Club World flights, a 4*/5* hotel and have at least breakfast:
If you like the look of one of these fares, they will likely sell fast. Don’t let the 30th September deadline make you think the fares will be available throughout the sale. Seat availability is extremely limited at these prices.
AMEX Launches Fantastic Platinum and Gold Card Bonuses – Up to 80,000 Points
Only this week, we shared details of the new AMEX Platinum Business and Gold card offers of up to 120,000 points. Now, offers have also been launched for the AMEX Preferred Rewards Gold Card and AMEX Platinum Card until 14th October 2025.
AMEX Platinum
Fee: £650 per year
Minimum Income: £35,000 per year

You will now receive 80,000 Membership Rewards Points (MR Points) when you spend £10,000 in six months. This is an increase of 30,000 points from the usual 50,000 MR Points sign-up bonus.
It’s worth waiting for a sign-up offer like this unless you need the card straight away. Make sure £10,000 is doable for you in six months. If you don’t meet this, you will not receive any bonus points.
There are multiple ways to use your AMEX Points. 80,000 points can be converted to 80,000 Avios, Flying Blue Miles, Virgin Points, and more. Other great transfer partners include Marriott, Hilton, Eurostar, Emirates and more. You could also opt to convert your points into £360 to offset purchases.
There is also an increased referral bonus of 18,000 MR Points instead of the usual 12,000 during the offer period.
Top AMEX Platinum Card benefits include:
£400 Global Dining Credit each year (£200 UK and £200 abroad).
Airport lounge access for you and a guest with Priority Pass, Centurion Lounges, Delta Sky Clubs and more. Read our guide to lounge access with credit cards for more details.
Fine Hotels + Resorts benefits, including US$100 credit, guaranteed 4 pm check-out.

AMEX Preferred Rewards Gold
Fee: Free in Year 1 (£195 from Year 2)
Minimum Income: £20,000 per year

You will now receive 40,000 MR Points when you spend £5,000 in the first 6 months (usually 20,000).
At first glance, this seems to be a better deal than the 38,000-point bonus from earlier in the year. However, the minimum spend has increased to £5,000, making it effectively the same deal, but with a £2,000 higher minimum spend. That said, if £5,000 is doable for you in 6 months, it’s still a great points offer.
40,000 MR Points could earn you 40,000 Avios, Virgin Points, and more, or you could opt for £180 to offset purchases.
There is also an increased referral bonus of 14,000 points per referral (usually 9,000)
Top AMEX Gold Card benefits include:
Four Priority Pass lounge visits per year
£120 Deliveroo credit (£5 x2 per month).
Travel Accident and Travel Inconvenience Insurance
‘The Hotel Collection’ Benefits
Car Hire Benefits
