York based artists Marc Godfrey-Murphy and Veronica Ongaro are hosting a show in the Fabrication gallery in Feasegate, York, until August 31.

The pair met through Fabrication with Veronica, working across multiple mediums having started printmaking twenty-five years ago and since developed a passion for creating stained glass and ceramics, whereas Marc started creating his own illustrations after working on children’s cartoons with CBeebies.

Marc said: “We thought our work would compliment each other, because I create York urban-centric illustrations and Veronica’s work is informed by her work as a biologist, inspired by nature and organic forms.

“The opposite themes of nature/nurture and urban/organic between us was apparent, so we have been honoured to take over the gallery for one week.”

“Our show, “Duet” features a celebration of our best work including iconic illustrations, tactile ceramics, colourful stained glass and a variety of printmaking techniques.”

Both artists have exhibited in York Open Studios, North Yorkshire Open Studios, various galleries in the region, and sell their work in Fabrication on Stonegate.

After the show ends, Veronica will be exhibiting at Stillingfleet Lodge Gardens this September and in the North Yorkshire Open Studios in the first week of November.

Marc, as he did last year, will be creating the York Christmas Nutcracker trail which can be viewed all over the city throughout the festive period.

Duet will be held at Fabrication gallery on Feasegate until Sunday August 31
