The results come from to Trusted Housesitters‘ annual Pet Name Study, which offers an inside look into nearly 100,000 pet names registered by pet parents on their platform. This year, they noted that several books including the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer, Winnie-the-Pooh by A. A. Milne, It Ends with Us by Colleen Hoover, Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas, the Fourth Wing books by Rebecca Yarros and the Harry Potter novels by J. K. Rowling were all top literally inspirations for dog and cat names.

When it comes to book-inspired pet names, you might expect something like Dobby, Gatsby, or even Arya to top the list. But surprisingly, the most popular name doesn’t come from a literary classic. Instead, it’s soft, sweet and just a little bit sparkly. That’s right, the most popular book-inspired pet name is Bella, as in Bella Swan from Twilight.
