Summer may be on its way out but that just means the autumn TV slate is kicking off and there’s plenty to look forward to, especially this week.
Thriller fans must tune into the BBC’s new sinister and dark drama, starring Eve Myles and Gabrielle Creevy. If the trailer’s anything to go by it promises to be a very twisty watch. Elsewhere Return to Paradise fans must keep an eye out for another Australian-based crime drama with a slightly less cosy approach to its murder mysteries.

Part two hints at dark truths coming to light and when it comes to the Addams family, those truths are sure to be the inky black.

Described by The Standard as “a pretty flawless crime thriller”, this six-part series sees barrister Ingrid (Emma Appleton) become the victim after she becomes romantically involved with her ex-client John Webster (Colin Morgan) who she defended for stalking.
After she ends their relationship, John just can’t seem to let Ingrid go, and the fall-out from that is devastating.
The Killing Kind is available to stream from 7 September on Netflix.

The Great British Bake Off series 16
Mixers to the ready! The Great British Bake Off is set to return to screens for a 16th series this week, bringing with it fresh new bakes and tough new challenges.
Noel Fielding and Alison Hammond will also be back to host, which means plenty of cheeky baking innuendos and even more autumnal jumper inspiration from Fielding.
Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith also reprise their roles as the head judges with the power to make or break a baker’s dreams. Between the kitchen drama, the camaraderie and the mouthwatering creations, what’s not to love?

A Remarkable Place to Die stars Chelsie Preston Crayford as Detective Anais Mallory who returns to her hometown of Queenstown Australia where she must face the ghosts of her past including an ex-fiancé (sound familiar).
Except this crime-drama’s former flame isn’t just engaged to someone new, he’s married to Anais’ ex-best friend.
Throw in a tense relationship with her mother and unexplained murder cases and you’ve got yourself a bingeable watch.

From the creators of Outer Banks comes this music drama series about a group of very recent high school graduates who form a rock band.
The trailer declares their grand aspiration to “write love songs that change the world” and those passionate ambitions lead them on an alternative career route that sees them chase fame. But will they make it or burn bright only to fizzle out fast?
The Runarounds also features real-life musicians including Axel Ellis, Jeremy Yun, William Lipton, Jesse Golliher and Zende Murdock.
