Rockstar Games have released a new background update for GTA Online to resolve issues introduced in the Money Fronts update back in June. We saw a few background updates in the days and weeks after Money Fronts released but more have continued to come out from the company.
For those unaware, Background updates made by Rockstar fix issues without players needing to download an update. It is all handled server side and will take effect when you next log into the game. This is a routine occurrence and will happen several times after a new GTA Online update.
Patch Notes
The recent background update details from August 27th. This list comes from community member Tez2. You can find all of the recent background changes in the patch notes below:
Fixes for the Cayo Perico Survival mode
Fixes an issue where the DH-7 Iron Mule’s grappling hook isn’t deployed upon pressing right on the D-Pad
Fixes an issue where enemy accuracy values were set incorrectly in select missions since the Money Fronts update
Patched a ‘Guns in Passive Mode’ glitch workaround
The fixes for the Cayo Perico Survival were made before the game came out so it did not have as many issues ahead of its launch last week. Meanwhile the enemy accuracy bug affected every single mission that was added to the game since 2020 according to community member Floorball.
Rockstar posted by on their support site their own patch notes with less detail:
Fixed an issue that resulted in the Iron Mule grappling hook not working correctly
