Jakub Kiwior has joined Porto on a season-long loan deal.
The 25-year-old defender has been in north London for two-and-a-half years after arriving from Italian side Spezia in January 2023. During his time with us, he has made 68 appearances, demonstrating his versatility and becoming a hugely respected member of the squad.Â
Jakub collected a Community Shield winners’ medal in 2023, but arguably his most notable performances in an Arsenal shirt were the two he produced against Real Madrid in the Champions League quarter-finals last season.
He started his professional career with Slovakian team FK Zeleziarne Podbrezova before moving to Zilina in the same country. From there, he joined Spezia, where he spent the next 18 months before moving to Emirates Stadium.
Jakub played youth international football through the age groups for Poland and went on to make his senior debut in 2022. He has now been capped 35 times by his country.
Everyone at Arsenal wishes Jakub success for the season ahead at Porto.
The loan deal is subject to the completion of regulatory processes.
