The Halliwell Jones Stadium unleashed its anger at full-time on Friday as home fans greeted their side’s shocking defeat to Salford Red Devils with a cacophony of boos.

It also means that, barring an improbably swing in both results and points difference, Warrington are now mathematically out of the race for a play-off place with three games of the season still remaining.

It is a fourth defeat of the season to a side below them in the table for Sam Burgess’ side, with the head coach coming under increasing pressure as he was questioned about his future with the club post-match.

In this week’s podcast, we’ll bring you Middleton’s interview and Burgess’ post-match press conference in full as well as the thoughts of our news editor and Wire season ticket holder Gareth Dunning on another miserable night for The Wire.
