Manchester United allegedly hold talks with the agent of Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson over a potential move to Old Trafford this summer.

Manchester United have reportedly held talks with the agent of Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson over a potential move to Old Trafford during this summer’s transfer window.

There is currently a host of speculation when it comes to Jackson’s future, with Chelsea said to be open to selling the attacker following the arrivals of Joao Pedro and Liam Delap.

Man United are one of a number of clubs said to be keen on the 24-year-old, who managed 13 goals and six assists in 37 appearances for Chelsea during the 2024-25 campaign.

According to journalist Nizaar Kinsella, the 20-time English champions have held talks with Jackson’s representative Ali Barat over a potential move during this summer’s transfer window.

“Manchester United have held talks with Nicolas Jackson’s representative Ali Barat over a potential move. A lot needs to happen in terms of outgoings for United but one that could happen in the right circumstances. Worth noting Chelsea have long-term interest in Garnacho,” Kinsella posted on his official X account.

Man United ‘hold talks’ with Jackson agent over Old Trafford move

Man United continue to be credited with an interest in Alejandro Garnacho, who is set to leave the Red Devils before this summer’s transfer window closes for business.

The 21-year-old scored 11 times and registered 10 assists in 58 appearances for Man United last season, but he fell out with head coach Ruben Amorim following the Europa League final.

Garnacho has been linked with Napoli and Atletico Madrid, but it is understood that he wants to stay in the Premier League, with Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur interested alongside Chelsea.

There is believed to be a possibility of a swap deal being agreed, with Jackson heading to Man United and Garnacho moving in the opposite direction, although it would be a complicated move.

Would Jackson be a good signing for Man United?

Jackson arrived at Chelsea from Villarreal in the summer of 2023, and he has scored 30 goals and registered 12 assists in 81 appearances for the Blues in all competitions.

The striker’s Premier League record is 24 goals in 65 appearances, and he would bring a completely new threat to the Man United attack due to his pace and ability to threaten behind.

Man United need a new striker this summer; Sporting Lisbon’s Viktor Gyokeres had seemingly been their number one target, but the Sweden international now appears to be heading for Arsenal.

There have been suggestions of a possible hijack from Man United when it comes to Arsenal’s Gyokeres deal, but such reports are believed to be wide of the mark.
