Salford Red Devils will look to win a second straight Super League game when they host Catalans Dragons on Thursday night with the game set to be the site for another of the fan’s peaceful protests.

There have been two protest marches organised by Salford Red Devils’ fans so far with the first at the cancelled Wakefield Trinity game and the second ahead of last week’s win over Warrington Wolves.

Thursday night is expected to be the biggest yet with it being a home game and the fans being buoyant about their team given last week’s win, however, they’re far from buoyant about the state of the club as they continue to protest ownership.

Those owners had promised a bridging loan would land by the end of August and no update has been given so tomorrow’s meeting with HMRC will shed more light on the club’s plight.

As is, it’s expected that the game will go ahead and team news for both Salford Red Devils and Catalans Dragons has been confirmed.
