Celtic sold Adam Idah when Brendan Rodgers was still looking for a striker.
It was a bizarre move, especially after the Celtic manager said Idah would not be sold unless another striker was brought in.
Despite Rodgers’ statement, Celtic still sold the striker and now Idah is at Swansea City ready to embark on a new chapter of his career.
But did the big Irishman really want to leave Celtic? Republic of Ireland boss Heimir Hallgrimsson spills the beans.

Idah is currently on international duty with the Republic of Ireland as they prepare for their World Cup qualifiers with Hungary and Armenia.
Speaking to the media, Ireland boss Hallgrimsson shared what he asked Idah and Chiedoze Ogbene about their summer moves.
Hallgrimsson said in the Daily Record, “I’ve discussed with both of them, they’re really happy with their moves.
“Our wish, of course, is that they will have a lot of playing time and do well at their clubs. I think they’re good moves for them both, considering their talks with their previous clubs.
“I guess, in a hope, it will be a positive move and they will be playing on a consistent basis.”
Adam Idah’s complete all-time Celtic stats
Fans will argue whether or not Idah was a success at Celtic. Many would suggest he was, considering in his loan spell, he helped wrap up a league and cup double.
So let’s take a look at his all-time Celtic stats:
Appearances: 76Goals: 29Assists: 3
Idah’s goal average was a goal every 2.62 games, which is not bad considering most of his appearances were from the Celtic bench.
The Irishman will always divide opinion among the fans but there is no doubt that without Idah, Celtic may not have won the league that saw the Hoops enjoy a successful Champions League campaign last season.
