Earlier this month, Samsung officially confirmed the start of the stable One UI 8, starting with the Galaxy S25 series. The update has already shipped on Samsung’s latest Galaxy devices, like the Galaxy Z Fold 7, S25 FE and the brand new Galaxy Tab S11 series. But now, thanks to a leaked release schedule, we’ve a good idea of when you should expect this big update on your Galaxy S25.

When will your Galaxy S25 get One UI 8?

First spotted by Alfatürk over on X, and then independently verified by us at SammyGuru, we have a good idea as to when your device will get the anticipated update. Enough chatter, save these dates to your calendar:

Galaxy S25 Ultra – September 18th
Galaxy S25 Edge – September 25th
Galaxy S25+ – September 18th
Galaxy S25 – September 18th

You might have noticed a pattern there. While the three core Galaxy S25 series devices, the base, plus and ultra, get the update on the same day, the newer S25 Edge has to wait a week longer. The Galaxy S25 Edge also didn’t get a One UI 8 beta program, unlike its three older siblings. But it’s also a much lower priority compared to the other three, being replaced very shortly by the S26 Edge. It’s still not fair to those who bought this device.

It is also worth noting that these leaked dates are for the Turkey region. They typically align with the European launch, slightly lags behind Korea, and slightly ahead of the US and Canada.
