Horror film Beach Stalker

A teenage filmmaker is hoping to bring a slice of horror to the isle with a shoot for his movie Beach Stalker.

Kenny Ascot, of 12 go productions, has been involved in film production for the past two years and is now ready to shoot scenes for his own project in Thanet and other parts of Kent.

The 18-year-old is hoping Thanet residents might like to get involved as volunteer extras.

He said: “My journey into filmmaking began two years ago, driven by wanting to make my own films.

“ I grew up in London and I’m excited to be bringing this project to life in Kent. Beach Stalker  is a film about a clown who stalks a character called Jack. But Jack doesn’t realise the clown isn’t real but is instead in his dreams as he tries to survive.

“I will be filming in all kinds of locations across Kent and Thanet, from beaches to woods to secret locations.”

The aim is for the film to be released in February 2026.
