An update has emerged on a change being made to the WWE announce team, with a Wade Barrett now off the road.

Michael Cole announced during the September 5 SmackDown episode that he and Corey Graves will be the blue brand’s commentary team for the next couple of months.
With Joe Tessitore previously off WWE TV for the college football season, an update has emerged on fellow SmackDown commentator Wade Barrett’s absence.
Per PWInsider Elite, Wade Barrett will be “off the road going forward”, and won’t be calling Raw. UPDATE: PWInsider’s report was later updated to state Barrett will be “off the road going forward for a bit.”
The report noted that the current plan is for Michael Cole and Corey Graves to also call Raw together in addition to SmackDown.
The reason for Barrett being off the road is currently unknown. We’ll keep you posted if any news on the reason for his absence emerges.
In other Wade Barrett news, Barrett recently took to Twitter to state that he and Nikki Bella had “smoothed things over” following recent comments, writing:
Great news, fight fans.. @NikkiAndBrie and I have spoken, we’ve smoothed things over, and I’ve graciously been allowed back into the Bella Army. Fully paid-up member since FCW 2008 🤝🏻🍷
A difference of perspective – to which we are all entitled – but to be clear, some of the personal abuse that gets sent to Nikki on here is reprehensible and completely out of line, so let’s cut that out immediately.
