The 51-year-old who lives near Banbury was relieved of his Red Bull team principal role last month after 20 years of service.

Mr Horner had been team principal at Red Bull since 2005, overseeing eight drivers’ world championships and six constructors’ titles.

Mr Clarkson is currently filming the fifth series of Clarkson’s Farm in Oxfordshire after series four was released across May and June this year.
It is expected that the brand new episodes will be released on Prime Video at some point in 2026, with post-production still to come.
