EastEnders spoilers follow for Tuesday’s episode (9 September), which is available to watch now on streaming service BBC iPlayer and hasn’t yet aired on TV.

EastEnders’ Jack Branning has been caught out over his role in Zoe Slater’s dramatic shooting.

Jack and Ravi’s scrap in the Square over the missing gun last week led to the trigger accidentally being pulled, with Zoe caught in the crossfire.

This week, the unlikely pair teamed up to get rid of the weapon and cover up their crime for good – but Jack was furious when Ravi used him as an alibi with the police.

With DS Spencer determined to get Ravi for the shooting, Jack changed his mind about his new ally and set about bringing him down.

Ravi raged at Jack in today’s episode for not sticking to their plan. Jack asked him to take a walk away from Walford and draw surveillance away, and promised he’ll destroy the gun in the meantime.

But with Ravi out of the flat, Jack snuck in and secretly planted the weapon, putting the sole blame on his love rival. Things got dicey when Priya arrived home and Jack was forced to hide, but he managed to not get caught.

Jack later had to lie to Denise when she spotted Ravi’s flat keys in the kitchen, making up the excuse that he had to fix his boiler.

However, the boiler lie soon made its way from Denise to Priya, and when Priya mentioned it to Ravi, he realised that Jack had double crossed him.

Ravi confronted Jack with the gun he found under his bed, desperate not to take the fall for the shooting when they were both involved and determined to bring Jack down.

He wasted no time in exposing the truth, as when Denise questioned him about the crime, he quickly set her straight about what really happened.

“Yeah, it was my gun,” he told her, “And yes, I was there. But Jack was the one who pulled the trigger.”

How will Denise react to this shocking news about her partner?
