Hollyoaks spoilers follow.

Hollyoaks has confirmed details of the aftermath of Ste Hay’s disappearance, with a big discovery being made along the way.

Tonight’s (9 September) episode of the Channel 4 soap will see Ste and his son Lucas engage in a hostile battle after the latter admits that he was the one sending anonymous threats to Ste and Rex.

What to Read Next

Ste makes his way out of the house and stumbles across a weary Sienna Blake, who herself has just escaped from Jez’s Love Boat. Ste suggests that they hide, and unwittingly places them in even more danger as they head to the Love Boat.

Jez subsequently arrives and knows he has to keep Ste hostage too in order to ensure his silence, with his and Sienna’s situation now looking particularly perilous given Jez’s proclivity for murder.

In next week’s scenes, Leela will become increasingly worried by Ste’s absence ahead of James’s birthday. Lucas later tells her about the incident which led to his disappearance, and they all go on the search.

Given Ste had previously suffered with bouts of psychosis, Leela and Dillon both suspect that he may have had another episode, with the pair seeking information on his whereabouts at the Hutch.

Dillon later spots bruises on Lucas’s arms, though the teenager lies and informs everybody that Ste attacked him. He also shows them messages from his father, making it seem like he was gone for good.

Leela and Lucas soon enlist the help of Dodger Savage in tracking Ste down, with the pair saying he doesn’t have any medication with him. In order to aid the investigation, Dodger demands every bit of knowledge.

Lucas shows him footage from the doorbell on the night of the falling-out with Ste, with Dodger’s interest being piqued by a discovery – what exactly has the police officer found? And could it lead to the Love Boat?

Hollyoaks airs on Mondays-Wednesdays with its Channel 4 streaming premiere at 7am, then an E4 broadcast the same night at 7pm. Full episodes are also released on YouTube a week after their Channel 4 release.

Selected omnibus episodes are available via Prime Video.
