Jeremy Clarkson’s Clarkson’s Farm has won best factual entertainment at the National Television Awards.
Clarkson, 65, collected the accolade for his documentary series which follows the ups and downs of life on his farm Diddly Squat in the Cotswolds.
In the fourth season of the Amazon Prime show, which was released this year, Clarkson added juggling the opening of his pub, the Farmer’s Dog, which aims to serve produce mostly from British farmers, into the mix.

The Sunday Times columnist and former Top Gear host took to the stage at the O2 on Wednesday night with familiar faces from the show including the farm’s manager, Kaleb Cooper, and Clarkson’s partner Lisa Hogan.
Clarkson opened his acceptance speech by announcing: “I’m on Mounjaro [the weight loss jab], my trousers are falling down. Lisa’s going to hold my trousers up.”
He thanked the public, who chose the winners of the awards, before continuing: “There are those of us who farm here — and we’ve scrubbed up so well you wouldn’t know it — who work incredibly hard, way harder than anyone in this room, and I do mean that — even you, Lineker.” Gary Lineker won the TV presenter prize.
Clarkson went on to thank his production team because they were “used to living in Shoreditch” but had had to film him in the mud and the rain and late into the night on his farm. He concluded his remarks by saying: “We shall go and have a drink.”
The other nominees for the award were Gogglebox, Sort Your Life Out, The Martin Lewis Money Show Live and Stacey & Joe.
Earlier this year Clarkson’s Farm won the TRIC award for entertainment, beating the likes of Gavin & Stacey and The Traitors.
Clarkson last won a National Television Awards honour in 2007 when he took home the special recognition award. Top Gear won the most popular factual programme award three years in a row from 2006 to 2008. Clarkson’s time on Top Gear led to a Bafta nomination for best entertainment performance in 2006.
Outside television, Clarkson and Cooper won the flying the flag for British agriculture award at the British Farming Awards in 2021 and last year Clarkson won the innovation of the year award at the National Pig Awards.
A fifth season of Clarkson’s Farm is due in 2026.
Lineker caused an upset by breaking Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly’s 23-year winning streak at the awards. As he accepted his award for best presenter, the former Match of the Day host, who frequently caused consternation at the BBC over his political messages on social media, said: “I think it demonstrates that perhaps it’s OK sometimes for us to use our platform to speak up on behalf of those who have no voice.”
