“It was super short but really intense. A technical start then a bit of headwind out, then more of a crosswind back, so I was fading a bit in the end. I did my best but made two mistakes. At one roundabout, I thought it was already the turning point, but it was not. So that was really bad. And then, when I passed Elia (Viviani) it wasn’t completely right. At the roundabout, I stopped pedalling because I thought I had to go left, but it was straight on, so that was s***. I’m quite satisfied but in a short time trial like this you can’t make any mistakes.”
