Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing the son of former Brazil international and Man City attacker Robinho, while a key Julian Alvarez claim has emerged.

According to Lewis Steele of the Daily Mail, the Reds have “had a scout present at a number of the matches” involving Robinho Jnr this year, with the youngster playing alongside Neymar for Santos.
Steele adds that it is Liverpool scout Dassler Marques who has been to watch the 17-year-old, even though he has often been a substitute.
Robinho Jnr has three appearances to his name for Santos’ first team and any interest would be a nod to Liverpool’s desire to sign quality over quantity when it comes to youth players.
A left winger by trade, the Brazil U20 international can also shine centrally or on the right flank, and has a rumoured £43 million release clause.
He reportedly has a £43 million release clause, which would be a considerable investment for most clubs! Rio Ngumoha may want to have a word, though…

Sam Millne has picked out what he wants to see during a busy September for Liverpool, including more solidity in defence:
“While Liverpool have a 100 percent Premier League record this season, there is still plenty of work to do on the training pitch if the Reds are to win major silverware in May.
“Against Arsenal, Slot’s team defended well. However, throughout pre-season and the opening games of the campaign, a change in tactics has left the defence regularly exposed on the break.
“Liverpool have moved from 4-3-3 to a system in which the Reds are thinner in midfield and often left susceptible to counter-attacks.
“For the team to be triumphant this season, the right balance must be found in midfield.”

Liverpool FC: On this day
Liverpool’s 2,000th league game was held on this day in 2004, and the Reds celebrated in style with a 3-0 win over West Brom.
There were debut goals for Luis Garcia and Steve Finnan, though the latter will not have realised at the time it would be his only goal in 217 appearances!
Incredibly, several players throughout Liverpool’s history went on a longer streak without scoring – Joe Gomez, for one, is still seeking an end to that!
It’s 243 games and counting, but surely he breaks his duck soon, right?
