Police said they had been made aware of “religiously-motivated criminal damage” at five separate synagogues, including the door to a synagogue nursery, a local passageway used by worshippers and a school.

None of the premises have been named publicly.

A Shomrim spokesperson said: “These repeated attacks have left our community anxious, hurt, and increasingly worried.”

The organisation said it was working with police to investigate and to reassure the local community.

It had also handed in these CCTV images to help Met police officers working on the case.
