The special blue kit was revealed earlier this week and now Duxbury has confirmed that Sir Elton will be there to see his beloved Hornets wear it in person at Vicarage Road as celebrations of his 50-year association with the club begin.
The chairman told the club website: “When I asked Elton to come to the game on Saturday, he jumped at the chance to come and watch what we hope will be a fitting tribute to his five-decade association with the club.
“The special edition kit is a wonderful way to honour Elton and I know he was pleased to have had a real hand in its design.
“I’m delighted Elton is here tomorrow because we owe him so much.

“This is a chance to thank him for everything and to continue to build on what he started 50 years ago.”
The passion Sir Elton feels for Watford exists just as much as it did when he took charge of the club in 1976, Duxbury revealed.
He said: “He communicates with me virtually every other day and is so passionate about what is going on here.
“He wants to know everything. I know Mattie Pollock couldn’t believe it when he heard how Elton referred to a great tackle he made last season. That’s how fascinated Elton is in the fortunes of the team.
“He loves it when we win and I dread ‘the phone call’ when we lose! But that passion is infectious; he wears his heart on his sleeve and only wants the best for the club in order that his sons, Zachary and Elijah, can grow up following a successful team.”
