Henrik Larsson is a living god among Celtic supporters.
The King of Kings is the defining Celtic player of a generation, scoring 242 goals across seven years at Celtic Park.
Since retiring, Larsson hasn’t spoken too often, given his reserved personality – but when he does, the entire Parkhead faithful listens.
So imagine being Charlie Mulgrew, a boyhood Celtic fan given the opportunity to go for a game of golf with Henrik himself.
Larsson reflected on the highs and lows of his Celtic years in the interview, which Mulgrew has now reflected on.

The interview allowed Mulgrew to speak to one of his childhood heroes – he was 11 when Larsson signed for Celtic.

So when on punditry duty for the Go Radio Football Show, Mulgrew was asked about his experience in the interview, which was uploaded to the Pitch to Par YouTube channel this week.
He said: “It’s got a good response, people are enjoying it – but my golf has not helped us get up the leaderboard.
“I’ve got a leaderboard, sponsored by Affordable Golf, trying to get under par. So I wanted Larsson to get there, he deserves to be there, so we try. I don’t want to ruin it for anybody, but my golf doesn’t help.
“The funny thing is that he’s got a very dry personality – a great guy, but he was so disappointed in me. He plays right-handed and puts left – good [golf] player.”
Mulgrew’s time golfing with Larsson has seen over 35,000 views already this week.
What are Charlie Mulgrew’s thoughts on the ongoing situation at Celtic?
Charlie Mulgrew has faced criticism for defending Celtic’s board at times this season.
He has also spoken about Shaun Maloney’s credentials as a potential Celtic manager, following his return to a background role at the club this summer.
Mulgrew made almost 200 appearances for Celtic between 2010 and 2016. He had a brief spell as manager of Scottish League One side Kelty Hearts earlier this year.
He and Larsson do discuss the current ongoings at Celtic in the interview, but the main focus is on nostalgia, as most fans will probably be glad to know.
