Huge queues gathered as former Little Mix star Jade Thirlwall came to Greater Manchester to celebrate the release of her debut album.

Around 150 fans queued down the street to see the pop star and get a chance to have their albums signed by the IT Girl singer. The queue stretched around 50 metres down the high street as fans gathered to show their love for the singer.

The trip is part of Jade’s busy promo tour for her new album. Jade rose to fame in the iconic girl group Little Mix when they won the X Factor back in 2011. On Friday (September 12) Jade released her debut solo album That’s Showbiz Baby! to fans’ delight.

The album has received praise from music critics and fans from across the world. Since going solo Jade has already won a Brit award for best Pop Act 2025, where she performed the lead single of her new album Angle of My Dreams.

This weekend will see Jade in a chart battle with singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran, as he released his album Play on the same day. Jade’s debut album is currently sat at number two on the charts.

On Saturday (September 13), the South Shields star made an appearance at an independent record and coffee shop in Bury, Wax and Beans. Fans queued down the streets with the chance to meet Jade, take pictures with her and have their albums signed by the pop star.

Wax and Beans is Bury’s only independent record store, selling new and used vinyl records, music merchandise as well as coffee and food in the town centre.

The star will also visit other UK cities for the signing, including London, Birmingham, Leeds and Newcastle.

On Instagram, she wrote: “I honestly can’t think of a better way to celebrate than running around the country to see you all. I’ll be doing a series of signings and some special little shows for you. It’s gonna be so magical, I can’t wait!!”

Jade will be back in Manchester on October 12 when she will perform at the O2 Victoria warehouse as part of her tour later this year. The star completely sold out all dates on her first ever solo UK tour.

The Plastic Box singer is no stranger to big shows, both in Little Mix and her solo career, as she recently performed at Glastonbury and opened for Chapple Roan in Edinburgh.
