Harry Kane says Bayern Munich’s clash with Celtic last term was the ‘most stressful time of the season’ – urging his teammates to get the job done with a bit less fuss this time around.
Bayern open their Champions League campaign when they welcome Chelsea on Wednesday in their first league phase fixture.
And the England legend has urged his teammates to use last season’s experience against Brendan Rodgers’ team as a lesson to make a fast start.
The Bundesliga champions could only finish in 12th place last season in the league phase and had to face Celtic in a play-off game.
England hero Kane netted at Parkhead in a 2-1 win but was forced off injured at half time in the return at the Allianz Arena, where Bayern needed an injury time goal from Alphonso Davies to scramble a 1-1 draw and break Hoops hearts, after a Nicolas Kuhn opener.
And Kane admitted: “The game against Celtic was our most stressful time of the season. It made a big difference to our season because we lost a few players.
“It shows the additional strain of playing in the play-offs. That’s why it’s important to get off to a good start in the Champions League this time.

“I would say we need five or six wins with a few draws to go through.”
