Winterfield Golf Club in Dunbar has leased St Margaret’s House, a Common Good asset, as its clubhouse since the mid-1990s.
Earlier this year, the golf club also took over management and maintenance of the course.
Terms have been agreed with the club for a 40-year lease of the course, with the proposed lease of the clubhouse over the same period.

Members of the public were asked for their views, with the consultation running until Friday.
A spokesperson for East Lothian Council said: “If approved, the new lease would run until 2065.
“St Margaret’s House would continue to operate as Winterfield Golf Club’s clubhouse and rental income would continue to be paid to the Dunbar Common Good Fund.”
