A mum who was found dead at a beauty spot has been named for the first time.

Police vehicles and a forensic tent were spotted at Hayle Park Nature Reserve in Tovil, Maidstone, on September 6, after reports a body was being found.

At an inquest opening at Oakwood House, in the same town, earlier this week, it was confirmed the victim was 52-year-old Natalie Coleman.

Mrs Coleman, a mum-of-one, had been open about her battle with her mental health, including addiction and an eating disorder.

The South African-born woman often carried out talks and hosted events as ‘Real Talks Steps to Serenity’, though social media pages for this have since been deleted.

She also led Steps to Recovery Online, in collaboration with Speak Up and Empower, for two years.

A JustGiving page in her memory has already raised more than £600, with friends of Natalie’s to complete the Three Peaks Challenge in November in her honour.

“Rest in peace Natalie, a truly beautiful lady inside and out. You will be sadly missed, fly high like the angel you are,” said one donor.

“Anyone who knew her will know she was the most beautiful soul,” remarked another online tribute.

It was heard how officers had been called to the park at about 7.30am, where a member of the public found her in a wooded area.

Few extra details were available, though a cause of death consistent with suicide was recorded.

She is survived by daughter Roxy and husband Steven.

A full inquest will be held on January 13.
