As previously reported, Globalls, a glow-in-the-dark mini golf centre will be opening at the former site of Iceland In St Thomas Street in the town centre after a new storefront was put up.
The premises have been empty for four years after Iceland closed its doors.
Whilst not much has been given away up until now about the new attraction, a spokesperson has confirmed that 10 full-time and part-time jobs will be created at the site and that plans are for it to open in time for the Christmas holidays.
A spokesperson for Globalls told the Echo: “The team is still hard at work building.
“We are planning to open either at the end of November or early December depending on how fast the building work can be completed.

“The team have done most of the heavy lifting work upstairs and then it’s down to the construction which can be the quickest part.”
Whilst the experience will be offering new themes compared to its other site based in Brighton Marina, the spokesperson confirmed that changes are being made based off suggestions from locals to shape the attraction into a tailor-made experience.
They added: “It’s been great to see so many people have been taking an interest in the storefront and have scanned the QR code.
“It’s really positive to see and we have already made some changes based off of local reaction and comments from what people want to see. For example, people have been excited for certain elements from our Brighton site and we want to make it more of a tailored experience so have taken these comments on board.”
Residents and local businesses have previously shared their excitement at the attraction coming to the town, especially after the bowling alley and Cineworld closed to give locals more to do on a rainy day.
Speaking about the benefits the new attraction will bring to the seaside town, CEO of We Are Weymouth (BID), Dawn Rondeau-Irvine, said: “We are so thrilled this attraction is coming to the town and will bring a welcome boost to our economy.
“Both locals and visitors will appreciate this new, fun indoor attraction which we hope will encourage other businesses to follow suit. We welcome Globalls to Weymouth.”
