Rangers and Celtic are set to battle it out to sign Serbian star Andrej Bacanin, sources have told Football Insider.
The 18-year-old is expected to leave Serbian Super League side FK Cukaricki this summer, with a number of big European teams interested.
Sources say that the Glasgow pair lead the race for Bacanin but will have to fend off interest from the likes of Ajax and Udinese to secure his signature.
Both Rangers and Celtic have a good chance of making a deal happen, and it will come down to who can win the bidding war for the midfielder.

Last season, Rangers finished 17 points behind Celtic, as the Hoops wrapped up their fourth Scottish Premiership title in a row.
The Gers now have new owners at the helm in the form of 49ers Enterprises, who finally took control of the club at the end of May.

One of their first acts was to appoint Russell Martin as manager, and the former Southampton boss has been tasked with closing the gap to rivals Celtic.
If Rangers can get one over their Glasgow neighbours off the pitch by beating them to a deal for Bacanin, then it will set the tone and potentially lead to a more positive season for the Bears.

Meanwhile, Rangers could reportedly miss out on a deal to sign Crystal Palace winger Jesurun Rak-Sakyi this summer amid growing interest from rival clubs.
That is according to former Man United and Blackburn chief scout Mick Brown, who claims that the 22-year-old is likely to leave Selhurst Park this summer.
However, the finances involved in the deal are set to make things difficult for Rangers despite Martin pushing for his signing behind the scenes.
Brown told Football Insider that Southampton are considering opening talks with Crystal Palace and are keen to give him a second opportunity in the second tier.
