The actor previously shared how his outlook had changed after finding out the couple were set to be parents, telling The Mirror: “Once Izzy told me, my whole outlook on life changed.

“It’s made me realise what’s actually important to me. I feel ready for it. We’re so grateful. People often struggle in these situations but it’s come quite naturally for us.”

He added: “I was 26 when I first got the [Emmerdale] job and before it used to be about the nightclubs and going out for pints after work. Now I’m entering dad mode. I like my tea and early nights.”

Meanwhile, Parr’s character Ross has been experiencing drama on Emmerdale as he faces a paternity test to find out if he’s the father of Charity Dingle’s baby.

Charity had agreed to be a surrogate for her granddaughter Sarah Sugden, who is unable to have children.

However, with the father of the baby in question, Charity decided to get a paternity test, with Ross nervously awaiting the results.

“Charity would happily bury her head in the sand about this, and hand the baby over to Sarah,” our Emmerdale source explains. “The only thing that matters to her is her granddaughter’s happiness.

“But with Ross a daily irritant in her life, she can’t escape reality – the baby could easily be his.”

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
