The 51-year-old who lives near Banbury was relieved of his Red Bull team principal role last month after 20 years of service.
Early in July, a statement from Red Bull GmbH read: “Red Bull has released Christian Horner from his operational duties with effect from today (Wednesday, July 9) and has appointed Laurent Mekies as CEO of Red Bull Racing.”

Mr Horner had been team principal at Red Bull since 2005, overseeing eight drivers’ world championships and six constructors’ titles.
The Formula 1 star resides in a £9.2m mansion with his wife, Geri Halliwell-Horner, on the Oxfordshire border with Northamptonshire.
Now, Mr Horner has secured a whopping £52 million payout from his former employers, according to BBC Sport
A source close to Red Bull told the media organisation that the 51-year-old had been given a pay-off of 60 million euros.

As reported by BBC Sport, Mr Horner had a salary of 12m euros a year, equating to £10 million, and a contract to 2030.
In a statement released on Monday, Red Bull’s CEO Oliver Mintzlaff thanked the former team principal for his “exceptional work”.
He added: “With his tireless commitment, experience, expertise and innovative thinking, he has been instrumental in establishing Red Bull Racing as one of the most successful and attractive teams in Formula 1.”
