Singer Conor Maynard has poked fun at the recent paternity controversy involving Charlotte Chilton as he says ‘My turn on the mic’ following the second paternity test results

Singer Conor Maynard has taken a swipe at The Traitors star Charlotte Chilton after she claimed he was the father of her baby, which two paternity tests have concluded that he isn’t.

Conor said it was time to have his say after she claimed he was the father of her child after a one-night stand. On Monday, Conor shared a video which appears to promote a new single, as well as poking fun at the controversy.

The video shows Conor on the stand at a press conference surrounded by microphones which read ‘Not My Sun’, ‘The Legal Guardian’ and ‘Traitor Times’. A journalist then stands up and asks him: “Conor, is it true that you still can’t say no to women?”, while another stands up and asks: ‘Roughly how much did you pay to change your DNA?”

He captioned the video with: “My turn on the mic”, along with “PRE-SAVE “Cherry On Top” with the link in my bio”.

Fans were thrilled to have new music from the singer and put the paternity controversy in the past as one person commented: “UGH SO READY!!! Happy Conor and new music. I prayed for days like these”, while another added: “OMG can’t Wait to hear this one”.

Charlotte gave birth to her first child last year, a daughter named Penelope, and said Conor was the dad. While Conor didn’t address the public claims while she was pregnant, he issued a statement revealing the results of a DNA test in March.

Following the second paternity test, singer Conor shared a statement saying: “Today I received the results of a second paternity test, which was requested by Charlotte Chilton regarding her baby girl, Penelope.

“As with the last test, this test has confirmed again that I am not Penelope’s father. As Charlotte requested, Penelope’s, Charlotte’s and my DNA were all taken at a Ministry of Justice accredited DNA testing facility that was selected by Charlotte.

“The results are therefore conclusive. This has been difficult for me and my family, and I’m so grateful for everyone’s support. I’m glad we can now finally draw a line under this. I sincerely hope these results mean we can all find a way to move on with our lives. Conor.”
