Luis Palma definitely didn’t have a quiet game for Lech Poznan on Wednesday night.

While Celtic were held to a 1-1 draw against Red Star Belgrade, Palma was in action for Lech Poznan against Rakow Czestochowa in the Polish Ekstraklasa.

Lech Poznan fans have been in love with Palma from the start and the Honduras international seems to be loving life away from Glasgow, with Palma even playing in a new position.

The 25-year-old has had everything go his way so far, but that changed against Rakow.

Palma was playing at the same time as Brendan Rodgers’ side were in the Europa League, and had a lively game.

He helped to provide an assist for Josue Pereira to give Lech Poznan the lead in the 29th minute before the 25-year-old then got on the scoresheet in first-half stoppage time.

The Celtic loanee was then shown a yellow card 10 minutes after the restart, however, a VAR review decided that it needed to be upgraded to a red card, and Palma was promptly given his marching orders.

It was a costly decision as Rakow came from two goals down to score twice and earn themselves a draw.

How many games will Luis Palma miss for Lech Poznan?

Since Palma was handed a straight red card, Palma is expected to miss the next three league games for Poznan.

This means he will not be able to play against Jagiellona Bialystok, GKS Katowice and Pogon Szczecin.

There is one Conference League game in between those domestic fixtures against Rapid Vienna, where he will come up against former Celtic flop Marco Tilio.
