Friday’s episode of Emmerdale gives some spoilers perhaps about what’s ahead.
Aaron Dingle and Robert Sugden feature in new scenes on Friday, ahead of a new mystery for Robert starting next week. In fact we got a glimpse of this mystery in a scene in Friday’s episode.
While the episode is available now on ITVX, and has been viewed by some fans, it doesn’t air until 7:30pm on ITV1 on Friday evening. For this reason we’ve not gone into detail about what happens, but what we can say is the episode has certainly got viewers talking online.
So if you want to avoid any spoilers whatsoever do look away now, in case this article gives anything away. The episode airs in the fallout to Aaron’s killer husband and Robert’s brother John Sugden going on the run.

With his crimes now out there, Cain Dingle has set off to find John to seek revenge over the murder of his son Nate Robinson. Back in the village, Aaron is struggling to cope.
Friday brings an update of somewhat about something linked to John, which leads to further turmoil for Aaron. His ex Robert is soon on hand to support him through this, with it clear Aaron feels no one understands what he is going through.
There’s a thawing with Robert in a handful of scenes, and it’s clear he trusts his ex. Equally despite some minor tension, it’s clear Robert will be by Aaron’s side should he need it and for as long as it takes for him to heal.
We won’t reveal what happens or what is said between the pair, but it certainly teases whether there is a future for Robron and if they may reunite, or not. It’s clear Aaron has a way to go until he’s recovered from his ordeal, while it also seems clear Robert is going nowhere.

Speaking of, spoilers for next week have confirmed a mystery acquaintance from prison, Kev, shows up looking for Robert. There’s a scene on Friday night that starts this twist off, and a moment we see Robert realise Kev could be making contact.
It’s a minor scene but very telling. Again we won’t detail the scene so fans can see it and make their own interpretation of it. But it’s clear from spoilers that Robert is hiding something, and someone.
More will be explained next week as to who Kev is, what his link to Robert is and why he’s in the village.
