Manchester United are reportedly not close to selling Jadon Sancho to Juventus in the summer transfer window despite several reports suggesting otherwise.

Several articles emanating from Italy have suggested that the Turin club are closing in on a move for Sancho. The Englishman is one of five United players who requested to leave Old Trafford this summer.

One report this month from La Stampa claimed that United had agreed to sell Sancho for £17.3m. It was also claimed that this could pave the way for the Reds to sign Juve’s out-of-favour centre-forward Dusan Vlahovic.

However, in a recent podcast for The Athletic, journalist David Ornstein admitted that there is little truth behind claims that the winger is imminently joining Juventus. Ornstein stated that he found this was ‘not accurate at all’.

The reporter did suggest that there could be some interest from Napoli as they look to strengthen their wing after Khvicha Kvaratskhelia left in January. They were interested in Alejandro Garnacho earlier this year but MEN Sport understands that bid was rejected.

Garnacho meanwhile is thought to favour staying in the Premier League. This would leave the door open for Sancho to move to the Serie A champions but they have recently signed Noa Lang which could halt their interest.

From United’s perspective this will all come as a concern for them as they look to raise funds for a striker this summer. Sancho, Garnacho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia have all been left out of the United squad which traveled to Chicago today.

Marcus Rashford meanwhile is in Barcelona ahead of his loan move to the Catalan giants.
