Staff greeted visitors with smiles and a genuine sense of pride
At 9am today, Tuesday, July 22, Everton’s new Hill Dickinson Stadium opened the doors of the official Everton FC flagship store for the first time. The ECHO went down to take a look around the new club store – and by 11am the shop was buzzing with fans from across the city.
Speaking to some of its visitors, the excitement was clear to see. Everton FC fan Chris, 42, had brought his three young children to the store and he told the ECHO: “I think it’s brilliant and we couldn’t wait to come down as soon as we got the opportunity.”
Staff greeted visitors with smiles and a genuine sense of pride, with one worker, Lewis, saying: “I’ve been an Everton fan my whole life. To get the chance to work here at the new stadium is just unreal.”
Lewis also praised all the hard work that has gone into the store and how great it felt for him to see people enjoying it.

This effort was evident. The first floor of the store was filled with kits in a range of styles and sizes, including the new 2025/26 home and away kits, as well as items from the accompanying training and leisure wear ranges.
However, there were far more than football kits and shirts on offer at the stadium store.
The checkouts are lined with more official merchandise, from footballs and birthday cards to car accessories. As well as a fun arcade style grabber machine next to the exit.
The excitement continued as we visited the upper floor, where young fan Holly, 10, happily told us about how much she was enjoying the shop, while holding her new Everton water cup and two retro hoodies.

Windows on the upper floor overlook the city, and in one corner of the store, archive items are displayed for fans to enjoy. Michael, 68, told the ECHO: “I’ve got my Alan Ball t-shirt on, and I’ve just noticed that they’ve got a pair of Alan Ball’s boots that are in a glass box”.
Future generations of Toffees will be able to visit the shop to pick up birthday presents and new kits. Michael, 68, who visited the shop with his grandson, had been going to Goodison since the 1950s with his dad and his own grandad.

Michael said: “It is an amazing place and is going to be part of our history in the future.”
While the shop shows how Everton is looking forward to this next chapter, there is no forgetting the club’s past at Goodison Park. At the entrance stands a tribute to the Grand Old Lady in the form of one of two huge clocks from the previous stadium.
The new store will be operating Monday to Sunday, including matchdays. Timings from Monday to Saturday are 9am to 5pm, and Sundays are 11am to 5pm.
