Much better from the visitors, with Wirtz sweeping it wide to Frimpong, who gets to the touchline before cutting back a cross to Ekitike, with the Frenchman producing a lovely flick that Cakır does well to save.

Almost an opening for Liverpool as Jakobs hesitates when dealing with a long ball under pressure from Frimpong, with the Galatasaray defender eventually forcing his ‘keeper into a ‘save’ of sorts as he palms away his mis-placed header.

It’s been a poor half from Liverpool in truth, with the visitors struggling at points and looking a little weak at the back, with Osimhen causing plenty of trouble.
It’s been the same story of late for the Reds, within the attacking looking consistently dangerous but the defending shaky at times.
They have enough to test this Galatasaray defence more, but can they keep it tight at the back and avoid conceding more chances to the hosts?
