The first trailer has landed for Keeper, one of 2025’s most anticipated horror movies.

Directed by Osgood Perkins, the mind behind Longlegs and The Monkey, the first trailer doesn’t give too much away but does bring the suspense.

Starring Orphan Black‘s Tatiana Maslany and Rossif Sutherland, Keeper follows lovebirds Malcom and Liz, who head to a secluded cabin for a romantic getaway.

But when Malcolm rushes off back to the city, Liz is left alone to face a sinister presence that uncovers the cabin’s dark secrets.

The creepy trailer begins by showing a variety of women who all smile at the camera before things a take a turn and the women are seen screaming with blood running down their faces.

A woman’s voice is then heard saying: “This place isn’t right for me,” while the film’s tagline reads: “You’re not right for this place.”

To make things eerier, at the time of writing the trailer was sitting on 69,666 views.

Keeper hits cinemas on 14 November.

While Perkins penned both Longlegs and The Monkey, Keeper was written by Nick Lepard. Filming took place during the 2023 strikes when Perkins was in-between production on Longlegs and The Monkey.

Speaking to Digital Spy last year, Perkins explained the collaborative process behind his films, even the ones where he’s both the writer and director.

“The great thing about making movies is that you’re hardly alone; you’re the opposite of alone. The idea that a director makes a movie is pretty antiquated, I think, and kind of bullshit because everybody brings their spirit to it,” he said.

“There’s this gratifying moment on any movie where you realise, ‘Oh everybody involved wants this to be good’. Everybody wants to do their job better than the person next to them or as well as the person next to them.

“I just try to approach it with a light touch and let people do their thing… I say that all the time, you just try to make something good that you might like and want to stand by,” he added.

Keeper hits UK and US cinemas on 14 November.
