Hollyoaks spoilers follow for the latest episode to air on E4 and stream on the Channel 4 service, while the article also contains discussion of childhood sexual abuse that some readers might find distressing.

Hollyoaks has aired a major twist for Rex Gallagher as he learned the truth about Grace Black. Grace recently remembered the harrowing the truth that the child she gave up as a teenager was a product of the horrific abuse that her father Fraser inflicted upon her. She also pieced together that the child is none other than Rex, who she believed was her brother.

In tonight’s episode, Grace’s sister Clare Devine bundled Dillon Ray, Vicky Grant and Frankie Osborne into her car at gunpoint as part of her revenge plot.

Luckily, Frankie managed to get a text to Lucas Hay, who ran to Rex and asked for his help, stating that he couldn’t go to the police and had no-one else to turn to.

Clare decided to play a twisted game of Truth or Dare with the teens, which turned violent when Vicky attacked their captor. The fight was interrupted when Grace called her sister, and as soon as Clare started speaking, Frankie screamed.

Realising what Clare was up to, Grace promised to help her sister find out who actually killed DI Banks — as long as she waited for her to show up.

The camera then panned over to Rex and Lucas, who Grace promised that they would get the trio back, they just needed to follow her lead exactly.

Grace turned up and got out the car by herself. While she distracted Clare, Rex snuck up, grabbed Clare’s gun and stuck it in her back.

The trio got into Clare’s car with Lucas. Rex told them to get out of there immediately, before turning his attention back to Clare.

“If you died, right now, everyone else would finally get to live,” he said, which caused Grace to intervene, stating: “This wasn’t part of the deal. I don’t want to lose either of you.”

It was Rex’s turn to bundle the sisters into the car. He took them to the garage and tied them to chairs, intent on killing them both to finally be free.
