The former F1 boss resides in a £9.2m mansion with his Spice Girl wife Geri Halliwell Horner in the village of Marston Saint Lawrence in Northamptonshire near Banbury.

Mr Horner was relieved of his Red Bull team principal role during the summer after 20 years of service, seeing him pocket a reported £80m payout in the process.

The 51-year-old had been team principal at Red Bull since 2005, overseeing eight drivers’ world championships and six constructors’ titles.

There has been much speculation in the Formula One world about the veteran making a comeback to the sport.

It has now been reported with tongue in cheek that Mr Horner has signed for a new F1 team following his months away from the paddock.

A satirical article from BBC’s Top Gear informs that the 51-year-old has signed with “Bed Rull F1” and has a close relationship with driver, “Vax Merstappen”.

The joke written by “Cory Spondent” adds: “Christian Horner is set to return to Formula One in 2026 with a new team called ‘Bed Rull F1’, TopGear.com understands.

“And sources close to the ousted team principal claim he’s already found a future world champion driver in the unheralded and entirely unknown ‘Vax Merstappen’.”

Despite the comedy piece’s claims, Mr Horner remains without an F1 team after his split from Red Bull.
