The 46-year-old, who shot to fame by winning the inaugural series of ITV’s Pop Idol in 2002, previously told national outlets like PA he moved to a Wiltshire village a few years ago.

His current address is a property at The Green in Calne, which is estimated to be worth around £1 million.

Young was sentenced at Salisbury Law Courts on Tuesday, September 30, after pleading guilty to using a handheld mobile phone while driving a VW Golf earlier this year.

The offence took place on Oxford Road in Calne on Friday, March 28.

Young was fined £666 and he received six penalty points on his driving licence.

He was also ordered to pay £90 in costs and a £266 surcharge.

The singer was not handed a driving ban after arguing it would cause exceptional hardship.

The court found that a ban would have a “significant impact” on Young’s mental health and the charitable causes that he supports.

Young recently embarked on a tour of dog rescue centres in the UK, to donate £50,000 in dog food to the initiatives and raise awareness of their struggles.
