Big Brother has aired the aftermath of George Gilbert’s dramatic removal, as Caroline Monk voiced an odd complaint that fans didn’t fail to notice.

Tonight’s episode saw the housemates react to George’s overnight ejection, with Caroline having the strongest reaction.

In the Diary Room, Caroline complained about not fitting in with the rest of the housemates, expressing her sadness at George’s sudden, unplanned exit.

“I thought he was a really nice bloke,” she said of George. “Very, very interesting and extremely intelligent.”

George was removed from the Big Brother house over repeated use of unacceptable language. Producers decided not to air the incriminating conversations as they would violate broadcast standards.

Speaking about George, Caroline continued: “I really enjoyed our conversations. You could talk to him about everything.”

“He was an old soul. At least he knew about things happened before his time, whereas I can’t even talk about music in here.”

Saying she didn’t fit in with the rest of her housemates, Caroline said that her co-stars “don’t even know who David Bowie is”.

“It’s hard. I don’t have anyone to talk to. I don’t fit in, at all,” she concluded.

On social media, Big Brother viewers were quick to point out that Caroline’s David Bowie comment sounded bizarre, particularly with a music composer, Richard, still in the house.

“Caroline i promise you people know who david bowie is,” one fan wrote on Twitter/X, while someone else noted: “you’re surrounded by the lgbt community and you’re telling me no one knows who david bowie is?? come on now”.

“FYI Caroline everyone knows who David Bowie is. There are younger people who listen to older music,” someone else added.

“So caroline can’t talk about music…no one knows who David Bowie is…i think not. That’s like saying no one knows who Elvis is!” a fourth person commented, while another viewer confirmed: “literally everyone knows who david bowie is.”

Following George’s removal, tomorrow’s eviction will continue as planned.

Votes to save George, who was up for elimination, won’t count, with viewers now being called to decide who to save among the remaining three nominated housemates – Elsa, Cameron B and Richard.

Big Brother airs on ITV2 and ITVX from Sundays through Fridays, followed each night by Big Brother: Late & Live.
